Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)
The CEFR is a worldwide standard used to measure how well someone speaks, reads, listens, and writes in any language. The CEFR breaks language skills into the six stages below, going from beginner to mastery.
A1: Beginner

You can understand and use very basic everyday expressions and simple phrases.

You can introduce themselves and ask or answer basic questions about personal details like where they live.
A2: Elementary

You can communicate in simple, routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information.
